On the downtown section of metro line M3, we experienced significant changes in the stations and tunnels under reconstruction in the last month of the year.

At the stations of Kálvin tér, Corvin-negyed, Semmelweis Klinikák, the future visuals of the passenger areas appear in some places, in the form of colors, cladding elements and the furniture. Escalators and incline elevators have already been installed, and we have even been able to try out this new structure for a few meters.

There is a temporary freight elevator in Deák Ferenc tér, which greatly facilitates the job of those working in the area. Mechanical systems, including safety systems – water mist extinguishing as well as heat and smoke extraction systems – have been put in place at all stations and in the tunnels. The test of these will start in January next year at the three stations planned to be handed over earlier than the others: Kálvin tér, Corvin-negyed, Semmelweis Klinikák.

In the tunnel, the left track has been renewed, and in the right track various work phases are taking place, from rail reinforcements to the laying of the power cables.

We show you in both PICTURES and VIDEO what we have seen in the last few weeks.
