BKV Zrt. Metro Renovation Project Directorate (MFPI) organized a visit for university students for the request of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology, as the latter is the Managing Authority of the Project itself (since it is EU funded), thus the officials intended to share some knowledge about the reconstruction within the Integrated Transport Development Operational Programme (IKOP). The visit was advertised at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and the maximum number of applicants was completed in a single day, clearly showing how interesting the reconstruction is.
Following the presentation on the reconstruction and the mandatory work and safety training, the students and their teachers - in two groups - heatedly entered the construction area of Dózsa György út metro station, where a brief on-site guidance was provided by the engineers about the renewal of the background service areas. Through the tunnel, the groups arrived at Árpád híd metro station while the construction manager of Swietelsky Vasúttechnika Kft. showed and explained the works that were being carried out.
